“For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living” (Romans 14:7-9)。We do not live for ourselves, nor do we die for ourselves; we live for our Lord and die for our Lord. No matter what we do, we must ask our Lord: “My Lord! Do you want me to do this?” What matters is not what I plan to do or what I want to do, but what pleases God. My life does not belong to me. I am not mine own. My life belongs to my Lord. All I have and all I shall be is my Lord’s alone. I must live for my Lord, and everything that I will do is for the sake of my Lord. All that I strive to do is to please my Lord. If I give up my own plans, my benefits, and live for my Lord, my lord will definitely be responsible for my life. I have known nothing more wonderful than this—God, the master, the Lord of my life. April 18, 2013.
